The 1991 guidebook was a joint effort of the
Wyoming Geological Association, the University of Wyoming,
and the Geological Survey of Wyoming. There are sections in
the guidebook on Metals, Diamonds, Industrial and Construction
Materials, and Energy Minerals. The Metals section includes
papers on gold and platinum deposits in Wyoming, as well as
discussions of Fe-Ti oxides, rare-earth elements and yttrium,
and their occurrences in Wyoming. Diamond resources of the
Colorado-Wyoming stateline district are discussed in two papers,
and one paper describes a diamond recovery plant in Colorado.
The Industrial Minerals and Construction Minerals section contains
papers on trona and zeolites, and there is one paper each on
coal and uranium in the Energy Minerals section.
